Privacy Policy

XCleaner is a Chrome extension that helps you remove your own likes, reposts, replies, and posts from X. This policy explains what the extension handles and how that information is used.

Data The Extension Handles

When you choose a cleaning action, XCleaner may handle X page content, X post identifiers, your visible X username, request metadata needed by X, and temporary authentication-related headers already present in your signed-in X browser session. These values are used only to perform the removal action you requested.

XCleaner also stores local progress counters, task status, delay settings, and temporary task recovery data in Chrome storage or X page local storage so a task can pause, resume, or continue after navigation.

Data Sent To The Developer

XCleaner does not send your X account data, browsing activity, post content, authentication headers, or usage analytics to the developer. This site does not use analytics, ads, tracking pixels, or external JavaScript.

Data Shared With X

When you start a cleaning task, your browser may send HTTPS requests to X using your existing signed-in session so X can remove likes, undo reposts, or delete posts/replies. This transfer is necessary for the extension's single purpose and happens between your browser and X.

Authentication Information

Temporary X authentication-related headers are kept in memory only while the page and task are active. They are not posted to the extension popup, not stored by the developer, and not transmitted to any XCleaner server.

Retention And Control

Local counters and settings remain in Chrome storage until you clear extension data or uninstall the extension. Temporary task recovery data is removed when tasks complete, fail, stop, or expire.

Limited Use Disclosure

XCleaner's use of information received from Chrome APIs and X pages adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose, is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans except if you explicitly include details in a support request.
